Håkons Hall is today one of the
world’s most flexible multi-purpose halls and can offer a world of
opportunities. The hall’s floorspace, capacity and layout provides
excellent conditions for both large and small events. There are wonderful
rooms adjacent to the entrance and reception, which may easily serve as
a functional secretariat.
Håkons Hall is used for sporting, cultural and commercial events
both summer and winter. Handball tournaments, dance galas, trade fairs,
congresses and banquets are staged in flexible and adaptable floor space
and surroundings. The magnificent architecture, the Olympic egg and the
climbing wall serve as an excellent backdrop for any event. The Norwegian
Olympic Museum is located in Håkons Hall, and here you can experience
Olympic history from 1896 and up to modern times. Håkons Hall
Banquets
Håkons Hall is able to serve up to 2000 persons for dinner simultaneously
in the hall. With lighting, decoration and table decorations and settings,
the hall can be transformed into a charming and cosy restaurant. A stage
with entertainment, music and a separate dance floor is easily put in
place. The hall can be divided into smaller sections as needed in order
to ensure a more intimate setting. For groups up to 200 persons, the
Håkons Hall Cafeteria may be used, and the entry hall and VIP rooms
are well-suited both for serving dinner and appetizers. A very exclusive
dinner for up to 15 persons can be served on the Bislett ice in the Norwegian
Olympic Museum.
