Hafjell Alpine Centre

At the entrance of the Gudbrandsdalen valley, cutting north from Lillehammer, you find the hills of Hafjell facing the sun and the visitors. The Winter Olympics gave a worldwide resonance to the name and the resort has developed to become a master of winter. Most of the cabins and lodges are ski in/ski out and several hotels representing the local hospitality are located at the base of the resort.
Within walking distance is small resort town with shops, bakery, cafes, and right next door an indoor playarea trilling the kids to spend whatever energy that is left. The newcomer of the year and a great supplement is the Hunderfossen Winter Park. This is a concept featuring alernative and adventurous ways to have sheer fun on snow and ice. The area is framed by a cultural landscape where traditional trade blends in with modern winter tourism.

The wide variety of Alpine slopes at Hafjell provide a diverse range of skiing challenges. The Alpine facility is not about crisscrossing slopes, but about long and fast continuous runs. And due to the advanced and comprehensive on-site snow-making facilities, Hafjell is a resort with reliable snow and skiing conditions throughout the entire winter ski season.
All the slopes at the resort lead to the same final destination at the bottom of the hill - simple and easy. Black, green, red and blue-marked trails all cenverge and one and the same endpoint, making it easy to stay together and keep in touch throughout the day. If you prefer skiing fast and fancy, then Hafjell is the ideal destination, and after the sun sets, you can continue skiing into the night at Hafjell to the light of Norway's most extensive floodlighting system. If you like the snow and you like to ski, then let us welcome you to a fabulous, flittering winter wonderland. www.hafjell.no

Gondola
The Gondola lifts the skiguests as well as the resort to higher levels.  The Gondola starts at the base of Hafjell and carries you 2,5 km to Mosetertoppen 781 m.a.s.l.  The ride takes 9 comfortable minutes and leaves you with a vertical drop of 586 m.

Children love to ride the Gondola, and they think it is a fun thing to fly through the clouds while sitting safely in the snug cabins and give tired legs a chance to rest.  Baby carriage and pulka can also be loaded into the Gondola.

New and exciting slopes extending the trail system northwards come as a consequence of the Gondola installation.  Svegårdsløypa has become the skiers "favorite" and is a real snack with soft curves and a perfect drop.

At the Gondola's top station, Mosetertoppen, the charming Pavillion restaurant offers hot and cold dishes.  For the upcoming season the top station will be developed with new lift and adjacent slopes.

Hafjell for Children

The novelty of the year for the minors! Afenced in skiing area for playing and developing the first skiing abilities, and a supplement to the indoor child care.  The children's area provides safety while playing together with other minors.

After some hours on the hills, the child care is an excellent spot to either wind down or find something else to play with.  Caring and responsible nannies make sure to give the children a good time while indoor.  This facility applies to children aged 2-7.

Hafjell Ski School

Hafjell has great slopes for ski instruction and learning to ski areas.  Spacious slopes with gradients that challenge all levels from beginners to advanced as well a staff with dedicated and smiling instructors who give you the right drill to master the technique.

To sign up for a ski program makes you a more confident skier and adds fun to the experience - regardless of age and ability.  It is for you to decide whether you want to join a group or hire a personal trainer.  It is always a good idea to start the stay with improving techniques, then spend the rest of the time to make adjustments and elaborate the skills.  Thus you will become a better and safer skier.

Children aged 4-15 can choose between 4 different programs:

The Troll club, The Knerten club, The Snow Club and the Junior club.
