X-Country Skiing
ImageLillehammer is located at the northern end of Norway's largest lake, Lake Mjøsa, and is considered to be Norway's oldest winter sport destination. The Olympic Winter Games in 1994 once again put the Lillehammer region on the international winter travel itinerary. Today, Lillehammer provides visitors with a combination of cherished traditions and modern attractions, with a host of popular museums, galleries, Olympic facilities, exquisite restaurants and excellent shopping.

Toboganing at Kanthaugen
ImageAlthough tobogganing has not yet become an Olympic event, it is one of Lillehammer’s most popular winter activities. The tobogganing can be attached directly on a tow bar that pulls you on the toboggan to the top of the hill. Everyone is equipped with a helmet and goggles, and you control the speed yourself by applying the brakes on the toboggan as needed.

Husky safari
ImageAn excursion with a dog team is a special and wonderful experience. Two persons get their own dog team and have the responsibility of taking on and off the harness and place the dogs in front of the sled (accurate instruction is a matter of course). We drive off into the wonderful landscape. Halfway through the trip the two persons change places, so that the one sitting in the sledge from the start now gets to steer the dog sled.
